2022 is upon us and it’s time to get ready for The Challenge at Goat Hill Park, Presented by Innova Disc Golf! We’re working hard to present another fantastic tournament at the Goat, with top players and a tough yet exciting course layout. Players want payout, and straw bales for Goat-a-Mids aren’t free, so we’re raising funds with these great Innova discs sporting Andrew Laitinen’s fantastic artwork. The Invader is one of Innova’s newer putters, aimed at the niche of “driving putter”. Yes, you can putt with it but it’s at it’s best as a drive/approach disc (IMO). It’s numbers are 3, 2, 0, 1. It’s a bit faster than a standard Aviar, with a modest amount of glide and very little low-speed fade. It’s a very neutral, straight-flying approach or shorter drive disc. One thing I really like about the Invader is it’s grip – the inner rim on this disc slants in a little bit, which allows you to really lock in your grip on the disc. This helps you deliver full power to this “putter driver”. We had these Invaders made in the slightly gummy, nice and grippy “Luster” Champion plastic. It looks really good but the important thing is that it flies great! Weights, disc colors and stamp colors are listed in the drop-down menu.
